Just a quick recap of my day!
It was my first proper shift at EB Games today, and my manager, Josh, ran me through everything. It took me a while to get comfortable with the computers and stuff, but I got a hang of everything pretty quickly.
He kept trying to get me to answer the phone but I’d always run and hide somewhere in the store or get another employee to answer. One time, the phone rang, and the guys boxed me in so I couldn’t get away and forced me to answer the phone. I executed the greeting so badly, and everyone was watching me, and when no one replied to me, Josh said “I just wanted to make you answer the phone”. I then started punching him and the other guys.
This had begun the store-prank war.
I also had a bunch of friends come into the store and it was so exciting. It was friends (LIKE TADHGY WADHGY!) that I hadn’t seen in ages and I had such a good chat with everyone.
I seriously enjoy my job so much. My manager is so cool. We all sing and walk around the store in good moods. Daniel and I had a sword fight with rolled up posters. We have races to see who can find the right game first. And everyone is just awesome.
I also got freebies today - 2 Black Ops 2 posters, and a Max Payne lanyard.
I’m wearing a tie because being the only girl in the store, I don’t get to wear a tie - so, feeling left out, I asked Josh if I could get one. Being the awesome guy that he is, he got me one and tied it for me :3
And awesome news from today is that we absolutely smashed our quota by doubling it :3 and in my first hour of working, I got 3 presales :3 Josh was so proud of me. Like, he is the coolest manager.
That’s all I can remember from today, and I’m so excited for tomorrow’s shift! :D
It’s a bit sad that Josh won’t be working with me, but I guess I’ll have to smash the quota for him :3
